I totally disagree with the last comment.  If you have ever been through a disaster it is important to have copied and kept secure somewhere your important documents, lists, medical information, and contacts.  You need to keep these documents and emergency contact forms in a sealed plastic bag.  This will save you from having to track them down if you lose everything you have and also the time and hassle.
